Why is my computer slower after installing more RAM?
In most cases additional RAM will improve system performance, not make it worse. However, if your system doesn't have enough cache to handle the addressing for the additional RAM, it can make perfomance worse. If this is your case, the only solution is to upgrade your system or motherboard, as cache cannot be upgraded.
